Ellipsis Monday Photo Shoot #6

Here's this week's assignment...

EMPS #6: Fences And What's Behind Them. I love photographing fences. I have been intrigued by them since I was a little girl. There is a big variety of them out there, and each one tells a different story. Sometimes they are large iron ones with big heavy gates, sometimes they are the little white picket kind, with sunflowers growing next to them, sometimes they are a simple chain link, while other times the fence you see might be a beautiful weather beaten fence, holding in the daisies. Good fences keep things out, but they also keep things in. The idea here is for you to find a fence, hopefully a photogenic one, and share with your photography not just the fence, but what's behind the fence as well.

Here's mine...

I just thought this was a neat shot. It was taken in between rows of tennis courts at a local high school. Tennis anyone? :-)

It seems to go on forever doesn't it. Great angle.

I don’t participate in many photo activities because I’m very much an ‘amateur’ photographer … but I do enjoy looking at the amazing photos of others and feel like I’m learning all the time. I love the perspective on this one ;--)
Hugs and blessings,

That one is so cool! I wish I had the picture I took with your old camera of all kinds of mechanical stuff behind a fence at school, but that was one of the pictures that came out all weird and creepy! I'll see if I have any others.

Hi Martha :)

First, a hug (((Martha)) thank you for your very kind words over at Ellipsis. They helped a lot. Now, on to the photo...

WELL DONE! I love the depth and the lighting. I felt like I could just step into the picture. If I really looked at the picture, I could almost hear the tennis balls being banded about. Like I said, WELL DONE! Thank you so much for playing.

Always, Carly

Hi!!!
I found you!!
I'm following you, too. That sounds so sinister, doesn't it? Got you on my list, so I'll be back soon.

I really like the lines of this one, the way it leads off into the vanishing point. And the red of the tennis courts seems mysterious, somehow. Nice shot!
