Here's the appetizer I'll be serving you this evening ...

It's been so hot I thought everyone might like a nice cool treat. These are cold veggie pizzas. They are so easy to make and so good! Just roll out a can of Pillsbury crescent rolls on a baking sheet. Bake at 350 until lightly browned, about 10 - 12 minutes. While that's in the oven put about a 1/4 cup of raw broccoli, 1/4 cup of raw cauliflower and 1/4 of raw carrots in a chopper or food processor, chop fine. Once the dough is finished let it cool and then spread with a light layer of cream cheese, top with the veggies and refrigerate until chilled. Slice and eat! Yummy!
Now go make yourself a cocktail or grab a cold one out of the cooler, Kick off your shoes and I'll get you all caught up with what's been going on this week.
As most of you know Koda from A Corgi in Southern California won my Virtual Vacation last weekend. Koda arrived on Wednesday. Things were going great until yesterday - we started the other bathroom renovation and in the middle of all the tear down our air conditioning went out!

I don't know what we would have done without all of Koda's help!
Last night we had to fill Koda in that today wouldn't be much of a fun day either, It was Nugget's turn to go for his surgery to be neutered. Koda has been teasing him calling him Nuggetless! I don't think Nugget is amused. I will say that Koda has been very nice to Nuggetless - er, I mean Nugget since he came home from surgery this afternoon, and Nugget is doing fine by the way.
Koda is happy that it's party time now. He's been looking forward to this all day! Look how excited he is!

I promised Koda some fun tomorrow. I'm taking him along with my bloggin' buddy Vicki from Sea Turtle Mom down to the World Wide Photo Walk including dinner on the bay!
That gets you all caught up on Koda's vacation, now a few other odds and ends...
I have a blog for you to check out this week, it's called Best Posts of the Week. I thought it was kind of neat. Stop by to check it out.
Lots of times I post my Friday Party Post on Ann's Virtual Night Out since she hosts a blog party there too. This week I just don't have time to make the rounds. I hope you'll go by to check out Ann's party while you're party hoppin' and if you're hosting a party at your place too be sure to leave me a link on Mister Linky. I love party hoppin' on Friday nights so I hope to see lots of you playing along - no rules, just have fun!
Have a great weekend! Cheers!

What a funny and adorable post!! I make this appetizer and I add a packet of ranch dressing mix and a little sour cream to the cream cheese. It's is so delish, thanks, Martha My Dear
Kisses to Koda.
Nuggetless, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha.
Hmm, I need to send my cat Abigail to Florida sometime.
You are hilarious! I love Koda's adventures, though he sounds like he has been a bit of a handful what with the teasing and all. And...just curious...is he old enough to drink? Like...he looks as though he has had A LOT of experience with the bottle, but I don't know that he is legal! Just curious!
Oh goodness Audrey I didn't even think of that! Betty? Is Koda old enough?!
Oh, oh, Martha, you probably don't have to worry thugh because in people years Koda is probably legal;~)
Yummy looking appetizers!
Glad Koda is having a great vacation and love his choice of beer. I guess by dog years he only has to be 3 to be legal? Have fun tomorrow!
I didn't know Koda was a Bud Man! Martha, I finally figured out what you were hinting to me (duh) and have posted a new recipe on my blog! I've linked it here, I hope that's ok, but I've got to advertise someway! LOL!
Make mine a Bombay Blue Sapphire Gin and Tonic!!!!
I can't wait to try it.
Bombay Blue Sapphire Gin and Tonic it is! It really was just my mistake with the link, but I do hope you'll play along at the Krazy Kitchen too when you can :-)
lol..thx for sharing ... glad your having fun Koda...
I've seen people have the same expression Koda has when they have to call the A/C guys.
What a great post. Lucky Koda being on virtual vacay with you.Lucky guy. Hope you had a good party tonight. It's just me, a couple of sleeping granddaughters, a snicker bar & a diet coke. LOL
Hugs, Barb
Hahaha! This really makes my day, very funny and entertaining. How cool is that for a fellow blogger who is also a neighbor! I also enjoyed Koda's vacation. Hope Nugget(less) feels better. Hugs!
My main website
LOL, Koda has a working vacation!!! good for him; time for him to get up off his little corgi behind and do some work some place, LOL; I'm glad he was of such great help to you!
yes, he is definitely old enough to drink; he will be 5 in dog years this December
my husband loved the Nuggetless name; so funny that Koda would tease a cat like that
my son said "he's drinking without me"
me, I just laughed through this whole entry
glad Koda is having a good time with you all; hoping tomorrow is a good one!
betty
Koda's life is more exciting than mine. How sad is that???
I've tagged you HERE
Koda, hope you didn't drink too much! Glad you could be of help and I'll bet Martha will make it up to you during the rest of your vacation! Us, CA Corgis miss you!
OC
Oh, I forgot to mention what a scrumptious looking "pizza"! Another recipie for us got have Mom try! OC
I've made the pizza before but I use the veggie dip that's in the produce section in the store. I also use tomatoes, carrots, garden onions and sometimes shredded cheese. It is sooo yummy! I'm going to have to go to the store to get the ingredients to make it because now I'm craving some veggie pizza! lol
Koda sure looks like he is having too much fun at your house! I hope he is sleeping good away from home. I know sometimes it is hard to sleep in another bed.
Hugs,
Angela
Hahaha Koda's present in the renos! Good dog!
you are a nut! looks like koda had a well deserved brew! that and a day trip makes for a great time!
Wow! All that beer made Koda a bit bloated! He can barely fit in the bathroom. Did he have to back in so he didn't have to turn around?
:)
Ohhh those veggie pizzas look good. They have to be better than the cucumber and pineapple cream cheese sandwiches on white bread that we were served at today's birthday party (just an intersting combo is all I'm saying!). And poor Koda. Really though -- poor you with the a/c! I'm impressed you're doing that labor yourself though. Me, I have to hire the professionals. Lots and lots of professionals!
What a great post- thanks for sharing. BTW yummy apps.
I am laughing my a$$ off with the Koda pictures - so cute & so very clever!!!
